Access

keyAccess

Increase your confidence on access issues and explore how you can improve your welcome and access to your offer for d/Deaf and disabled customers.

Being an accessible organisation can benefit all your visitors. This surgery will look at models of best practice within the five main areas of disability (physical disabilities, blind and visual impairment, mental health, learning difficulties/disabilities, d/Deaf) with a particular focus on ways to improve your organisation’s offer.

Depending on your requirements, the session may include:

  • Understanding the social model of disability
  • Organisational philosophy
  • Consulting with disabled people and groups
  • Communications
  • Making your offer more accessible: artistic need -vs- access needs
  • Prioritising development
