From creepy-crawly crafts to animation lessons, from music-making to 4D cinema, this summer there is Family Friendly fun for kids of all ages in the newest addition to the North West’s jam-packed cultural calendar.
The Family Friendly Film Club Weekender is happening from Thursday 04 to Sunday 07 August 2011.
Taking place in arts and cultural venues the Family Friendly Film Club Weekender sees organisations using films and fun hands-on activities to increase engagement in the arts and encourage audiences to take advantage of the North West’s fantastic Family Friendly cultural offer.
Best of all is that all of the film screenings are completely free. However, some of the venues may include a small fee for the film-related activities to cover their costs.
All About Audiences, the audience development agency for the North West, proudly launched the collaborative project as an evolution of the much-loved Family Friendly Film Festival, opening it up to venues across the North West for the very first time.
Audience Development Manager at All About Audiences, Nicky Colclough tells, “It is really exciting to lead on a project that highlights the great range of arts, culture and heritage across the North West.
We are thrilled that the use of films and hands-on activities will introduce new, young audiences to some amazing venues and will begin their life-long adventure with the arts through our Family Friendly Film Club Weekender.”
