Exploring Collaboration Workshop - Lancashire

All About Audiences Chief Executive, Ivan Wadeson spoke recently of the delicate cultural eco-system in which we co-exist and the importance of our inter-connectivity.

As a result of the NPO decision along with local authority cuts and the drying up of other funding streams, the whole sector (whether in or out of the portfolio) faces new threats and challenges but just as importantly, new opportunities. And we are determined to continue playing our part in helping organisations adapt to survive.

We are organising a series of free, open events for arts and cultural organisations of all scales and artforms, both those successful in their NPO applications and those who were not.

“Whether receiving regular funding or not, we are all creative enterprises with tangible and intangible assets that we can sell, trade, or use to support others – physical resources like technical equipment, workshop and creative spaces; or the skills and knowledge of creative practitioners, marketing and outreach staff.”

At these completely FREE half-day events we will work with those present to list and share their unique assets and then see how they could be deployed for collaborative benefit or matched/exchanged with others.

The first session will be on Monday 09 May at The Storey Creative Industries Centre, Lancaster. We chose Lancashire first as it appears to have been affected to a greater degree that any of the other sub-regions.

If you are a cultural organisation in Lancashire and would like to attend please email Aaron.Hussey@allaboutaudiences.com or call 0161 234 2912 to reserve your FREE place.
