The Met is an independent arts centre based in Bury, Lancashire. Over the last 30 years this small scale venue has developed one of the busiest programmes in the UK combining music, specialist festivals, theatre and family events to attract increasing audiences and funding partners. The Met is one of the leading promoters of folk and traditional music with a developmental and creative approach to audience development. On the doorstep of Manchester, The Met has developed its programme to attract and retain audiences from throughout the North West of England.
David Agnew has been the Director of The Met since 2005 when he took over following 4 years as Marketing Manager. David previously worked with Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Belfast Festival at Queens.
